Enrocin – Enrofloxacin 10% Oral Solution for Poultry Birds

This is used for the control and treatment of severe respiratory infections in poultry. It best treats infections caused by bacteria including mycoplasmosis, infectious coryza, salmonellosis, fowl cholera, collibacillosis etc.

Enrocin is a veterinary Enrofloxacin 10% oral solution formulated for poultry. Each mL contains Enrofloxacin 100 mg, a fluoroquinolone antibacterial used against susceptible bacterial infections in poultry.

Indications/usages:

• For control & treatment of respiratory infection of poultry i.e. CRD, CCRD, and E.coli etc.

• 10 mg per kg body weight for 3 - 5 days.

Enrocin is indicated for the control and treatment of susceptible bacterial infections in poultry, including respiratory infections such as:

• Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD)
• Complicated Chronic Respiratory Disease (CCRD)
• Susceptible E. coli infections
• Infectious coryza
• Mycoplasma-associated infections
• Other susceptible bacterial infections

The exact organisms covered depend on antimicrobial susceptibility; veterinary references identify organisms such as Mycoplasma gallisepticum, M. synoviae, Avibacterium paragallinarum, Pasteurella multocida and E. coli for enrofloxacin products.

Administration of Enrocin – Enrofloxacin 10% Oral Solution for Poultry Birds

Enrocin is administered through drinking water. The dosage and treatment duration should follow the product label and the direction of a registered veterinarian. Published information for this particular Enrocin product reports 10 mg/kg body weight once daily for 3–5 days, but the exact drinking-water concentration should be calculated according to flock weight and water consumption rather than applying a generic volume/Litre.
